Real Pro Systems User Group

On December 17 2008, fifteen agents from seven different states gathered in Columbus, OH for the first ever Real Pro Systems User Group.  Intiated by fellow Real Pro Systems users, agents shared their strategies and tips for maximizing their web presence.  Agents discussed a number of topics including stealth marketing, lead conversion, seo and blogging strategies, using video, feature requests, and more.  It was a powerful day of sharing and learning, and everyone left with a lot of great ideas and new friends.

I know you are always looking for ways to generate leads. I received an email from an agent that sent out a blast to his database and I thought is was clever.  For those of you looking for ways to get prospects to take action on something like Market Snapshot from Top Producer, this is a good example of what to say.

The Power of an eNewsletter

If you are looking for seller leads, the newsletter is a great way to drive prospects, both buyer and sellers, to your stealth sites. The testimonial below demonstrates the power of an effective newsletter.

Are you short on ideas for generating new business? I just saw a great ad in the paper last week and I wanted to share it with you. It really hits the pain point of a renter and gives a clear call to action to learn more.
Too bad they didn't have a website to send prospects to so they could register for the seminar and be added to a drip campaign. (They need Real Pro Systems) ;-)... But the idea is right on target.
Underwrite the seminar by asking a lender partner of yours to share costs and leads.

Search Engine Optimization on Real Pro Agent Sites

I'm often asked what kinds of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Real Pro System uses to ensure website hits and visibility. 

We take many steps to help get your main, agent-branded site recognised by the search engines. We submit the sites we create for our clients to Google, Yahoo and MSN. We automatically generate page titles, key words and page descriptions for the pages of content we give you. In addition, we have integrated tools, such as the Blog, that can help with SEO. On the internet, content is king and unique content is best. We also provide tools in the back office to create your own unlimited content and each of these pages can be optimized with meta tags and key words. Customizing the eNewsletter/webpage is also a good idea.

Adding video has been revealed to aid in search results. You can embed video in any of our text fields - video tour of a neighborhood, testimonial interviews, etc.

Caveat on SEO - Only Half the Equation

Search engine optimization is great for getting your site to the top of the search engines but it's only half the equation. It can equate to hundreds of hits to the website, but not necessarily leads. The key is getting someone to engage on the site once they are there. This is why our strategy is to advertise/promote a "stealth" site, such as www.realprohomesearch.com.  These are not designed to rank high on search engines.

On this type of site, it is easy for the prospect to identify what is in it for them. According to NAR, over 80% of the buyers start their search on line, so it makes sense to take them to a site that gives them what they are looking for and in return, you have a way (drip campaigns) and a reason to follow up with them on a continuous basis. The campaigns are meant to build the relationship and keep you top of mind till they are ready to come forward and work with you. 
 
 
While top ranking is great and may be worth paying for, we recognize that it takes time and can be costly. To help generate leads, we also offer a buyer lead generation program where we generate buyer leads for you. This is not hits to your site, but rather a name, email address and search criteria of a prospective buyer. This service is called .

Success in a Slow Market

I am thrilled with the program! Since May 1st, I have received 139 leads and only 16 of those have opted out. That's an average of 39 leads per month. I didn't calculate bad or bounced emails out of the Real Pro Systems site.
 
To date, I have closed one transaction, have another one pending, and have met face-to-face with 4 other buyers. I think 2 of the 4 will actually purchase, the other 2 might. There is a 5th contact that is moving here in December that I hope to meet with. So far all of the leads are qualified buyers.
 
People keep asking me how I can be busy in such a slow market; the answer is Real Pro. I love the program, and while I was skeptical about the passive approach, clearly it does work and is working for me. I have talked with other Real Pro users who do their own pay per click advertising, and they aren't getting anywhere near the results that I am.

I switched from my Advanced Access website to a Real Pro Silver website about 10 months ago. I was very attracted to the drip campaign it offered  and have been very pleased with how much response I get from an automatic system that I only have to tend minimally. Finding a Home with Real Pro Systems 

I thought the CyberStars and the Real Pro Systems folks would be amused to know that Real Pro Systems is responsible for my finding the new home I'm closing on next week.
 
How it happened: I got a request through Real Pro Systems for a market analysis. We went through all the normal processes of getting acquainted on-line. I prepared the usual marketing presentation, including a CD by Real Estate Power Tools. Met them in-person for a listing consultation. Listed the home and went forward with all the normal marketing.
 
I mentioned to my wife off and on during the first month how much I liked this home. She kept bugging me to go see it. After a month and no offers I showed it to her, and it was all over. Of course as it worked out we did the deal the night we left for three week's vacation.
 
Most expensive Christmas present I ever bought anyone! Can't believe I'm taking on a mortgage that could run until I'm 95! Well, my dad's that old, mom's not far behind, and he's still working because he loves his career as a consulting engineer, and Mom still preaches around northern Vermont as an Episcopal deacon.
